About Daena:

I am a pysanka writer originally from Saskatoon, SK. I am currently residing in Calgary, AB and was on the 1st pysanka tour to Ukraine in 2019. You can find my pysanky online on my Instagram at Pysankaprincess or on my 2 Facebook accounts under Daena Diduck or Daena K Diduck. In person, my pysanky are available at ACUA – Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts in Edmonton and also teach intermediate and advances pysanky technique workshops. I do a demonstration yearly before Easter in Edmonton at the Calgary Farmers Market and the Calgary Ukrainian Festival. I have been featured on various local media in Calgary such as Breakfast Television and Shaw Cable. In 2019 I was featured on Northwest Profiles on PBS. Recently I was on Global News across Canada and in the Calgary Herald. I donate a lot of original pysanky to local groups and charities for fundraisers and was able to collaborate with Cathy Reitz on a raffle in Alberta – Pysanka for Ukraine which raised $2735.00 for Medical Mercy Canada, Ukrainian Canadian Foundation and Cobblestone Freeway Foundation.
