In this hands-on class you will learn the process Carolie uses to create her floral inspired eggs. You will be given detailed instruction in how to make your own version of her Field of Flowers egg. She will share ideas of how you can incorporate these free-flowing floral/foliage elements in your designs to provide a rich contrast to geometric patterns.
For success it is recommended that you are already comfortable with etching. You will be provided a handout with thorough explanations of the process and prompts for you to further your own development of designing with horticulture elements.

About Carolie Ediger
Carolie has been writing pysanky since 1972 where she was the daughter of a Kansas farmer and former art teacher. Now she is a retired middle school math teacher and enjoys the extra time she can devote to writing pysanky, gardening, and sewing. She originally studied horticulture in college so the beauty of plants features prominently in her designs. She regularly exhibits at Art Fairs and at Mid-Town Gallery in Hutchinson, Kansas. Her family includes her husband, three adult sons, a dear daughter-in-law, and a bright light that is herthree-year-old granddaughter.
