Zoya Stashuk - "Symbolic Pysanka Motifs" - #3 Crosses and Fish

The album "Cross. Fish" from the series, "Symbolic Signs in Pysanka Art" consists of 14 separate coloured sheets containing 420 Easter eggs. Among them are unique (printed for the first time) pysanka with crosses of the Carpathian region, sketched by Erast Binyashevsky, author's pies Zoya Stashuk, traditional pysanka on drawings of the 19th century, author's competitive pysanka children-pupils of colourful studios.

The album contains an additional 2 sheets with options for schematic division of the egg to create the ornament. The purpose of the publication is to show the variety of images of symbolic signs "cross" and "fish" on Ukrainian Easter eggs. The album contains textual information about the meaning of their symbolic characters.

The purpose of this publication is the author's attempt to give all those who wish to enter the sacred world of the Ukrainian Easter egg through understanding the mythological basis of symbolic signs, contemplating ancient ornamentations on numerous samples of pysankas included in the album, and the ability to unsubmit their favorite pysankas by their own drawings. The album presents 360 pysanka.

Метою цього видання є спроба автора надати можливість усім охочим увійти до сакрального світу української писанки через осмислення міфологічного підгрунтя символічних знаків, споглядання стародавніх орнаментів на представлених численних зразках писанок, що увійшли до альбому, та можливість самотужки відписати вподобані писанки за наданими схемами креслень. У альбомі представлено 360 писанок із зображенням.
