The craft lathe has markings moulded into the cups, but what if you want to divide your egg into something other than 4 wedges?
This set allows you to unleash your creativity and create designs based on 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 16 or 20 wedges.
Happy egging is pleased to release is the new and improved third version of the rings…the best of versions 1 and 2. They are made of 1/8” laser cut and engraved birch plywood.
To use: Fit the ring to the lathe cup. (Instructions for fitting are included with the rings). Make sure your pencil is raised to the lathe’s centre of rotation. You can do this using our Self-storing Lathe table or by stacking books/papers to the right height. Each ring allows you to divide into three numbers. For example, the “3 6 12” ring will let you divide an egg into 3, 6, or 12 wedges. For 3 wedges, use the small dashed lines only; for 6 wedges, use the small and large dashed lines; for 12 wedges, use all lines.
The rings were designed to work with the beige plastic craft lathe and lathe table, but can still be used on chicken eggs as you would a paper template.
Lathe Not Included.
Self-Storing Lathe Table sold separately.
Happy Egging products are designed by Jennifer E Kwong
NOTE: Our new manufacturer has added a protective masking film to the product to protect the wood from scorching during the laser cutting and engraving process. Masking is indicated with a red dot. Please check for masking and remove from the front and back before use.
