#18. The "Maple Leaves" Pysanka with Tetiana Konoval - Wednesday July 22nd - 7:00-9:00pm

Workshop Summary:

This Master Class will be in Ukrainian using an English translator.

Experience the artistry and innovation of internationally recognized pysankarka Tetiana Konoval in this inspiring, hands-on workshop. Tetiana will introduce you to her signature Maple Leaves design—a motif with roots in Central Ukraine and a special place in her heart. The maple leaf is not only meaningful in Ukrainian culture, but is also a cherished symbol in Canada and the USA, connecting us across continents through this shared emblem of strength, unity, and natural beauty.
In this master class, you’ll learn Tetiana’s distinct waxing technique and her original “watercolor” style of painting pysanky, featuring warm dye colors and subtle shading for a soft, luminous effect. Under Tetiana’s expert guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to try this unique method yourself, creating your own maple leaf pysanka.
Also included in this workshop is HOW TO Varnish your finished pysanka.
The session includes video slides, interactive games, and enriching materials to deepen your understanding and spark your creativity. As a special thank you, every participant will receive an exclusive electronic gift from Tetiana at the end of the workshop.
Whether you’re new to pysanky or eager to expand your skills, this class offers inspiration, fresh techniques, and the chance to learn from one of Ukraine’s most distinctive artists.
