Workshop Summary:
Ukrainian decorative art offers us many unique and exquisite patterns. Designs taken from ceramics, wood carving, weaving and embroidery can be actively used in Easter eggs. I offer to your attention decorative elements taken from the greatest period in the history of Ukraine - the embroidery of the Cossack elite. These plant motifs are also found in icon paintings, portrait paintings, or book designs of the Ukrainian Baroque period. It is very important for me to remember the glorious times of Cossacks in Ukraine in this way.
Our goal will be to explore the specifics of my embroidery element techniques, color palette options, and the sequence of colors. We will aim to complete most of the pysanka, but please be prepared that within the 2-hour class time, it will be nearly impossible to finish the entire work. However, with the printed materials that each participant will receive, you will be able to complete the planned pysanka either during the retreat or after returning home.
