In this interactive workshop, we'll journey outside our comfort zones to create original batik egg designs. Inspired by a mix of random items and images, you'll learn how to transform ordinary objects into extraordinary art.
Skill level:All levels welcome
Workshop Structure:
First Half: Introduction to the design project and a surprise drawing activity. You'll receive a white box containing three random items and two sealed envelopes - one with an image and the other with a color chip. These elements will serve as your artistic muse. You'll sketch your designs on graph paper, refining as you go, with guidance from Mark throughout the process.
Second Half: This session is dedicated to developing your batik egg design. We'll explore basic color theory and you'll choose a color scheme based on your color chip. Once your design is complete, you'll transfer it onto a goose egg, apply wax, and begin the dyeing process.
